FLOKI
FLOKI is the demodulation engine of the Midgard tool suite, designed to convert modulated RF signals into usable baseband data for deeper analysis. It serves as the critical bridge between waveform observation and digital exploitation, transforming signal energy into audio, symbols, and binary streams that analysts can interrogate and interpret.
FLOKI supports common analog and digital demodulation schemes—including AM, FM, BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, 16QAM and higher-order PSK—while providing visual feedback such as constellation diagrams to assess modulation quality, symbol stability, and noise effects. This allows analysts to validate modulation assumptions, tune parameters, and confirm successful demodulation before moving downstream.
Rather than functioning as a “black box” decoder, FLOKI is designed to reinforce analytic understanding. Users actively configure demodulation paths, observe how parameter changes affect output, and learn how real-world impairments—frequency offset, phase noise, and interference—impact demodulated results.
FLOKI outputs demodulated audio and binary data in formats compatible with OdinEye and Sigrun, enabling seamless progression into binary structure analysis and protocol reconstruction. Used in both training and operational contexts, FLOKI teaches analysts not just how to demodulate signals, but why demodulation decisions matter within the broader communications analysis workflow developed by ALTA-INTEL.
